SNOWFALL

Hanni’s white winter in the Stubai valley

As soon as the first snowflakes start to drift down into the valley and the air smells as fresh and clear as glass, Hanni’s favorite season begins! It’s warm and cosy at home, and the whole town smells like freshly baked, home-made cookies.

The valley bustles with activity. Children tumble in the snow and busily build snowmen, while winter sports enthusiasts prepare for their adventures in the mountains. Hanni is also getting ready, making her way through the piles of snow to show you her favorite winter locales.

The Mieders Serlesbahnen and theMuttereralm ski area are both highlights for families.
The Stubai Glacier, Austria’s largest glacier ski area, is known not only for its wide, well-maintained
slopes, but also for its Stubaier Gletscher Powder Department – a real treasure for free-riders seeking out
untouched runs.
The Seegrube ski resort in Innsbruck is easy to access from the city centre. The resort may not be that big, but the view of the city and the surrounding mountains are truly unforgettable.
The Steinach Bergeralm is about 18 km away, and is home to a long, impeccably maintained valley descent, open all winter long, including for night skiing three times a week.

Toboggan fun for the whole family
